Greek Tacos

I found this recipe on  Just Cook Already  a few weeks ago and finally tried it for dinner tonight. It was a HUGE hit with Landon. He even said it's one of his top 5 favorite meals I've made so that should say a lot. So I thought I would share the recipe with ya'll... Greek Tacos {i adjusted this recipe to serve just 2 of us.} M arinade 2-4 large chicken breasts in this Greek Salad Dressing. (marinade recipe originally from Our Best Bites ) 1/4 c. freshly squeezed lemon juice 1/4 c. white vinegar 2 tsp. sugar 1/2 tsp. kosher salt 1/2 tsp. seasoning salt 1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes (this will not make the dressing spicy, just flavorful) 1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper 4 cloves garlic, smashed and peeled 1 c. canola oil (or other salad oil) 1/2 c. crumbled feta cheese 3/4 tsp. Real Simple Thoughts

I got a package in the mail from my mom last week, the same one that included the candle I talked about here . In it was a copy of the "thoughts" page from the August 2011 Real Simple magazine. It says "Be faithful to your own taste because nothing you really like is ever out of style." -Billy Baldwin. Sorry you can't see the picture too well, but it is a little old lady sitting in her hodge podge of a bedroom. But of course as the quote says, it doesn't really matter as long as she loves it! Always follow your heart and do what you love. Wear it, design it, live in it with style!

Wearing the Pants

Ok so I thought it would be fun to post about my favorite things at J.Crew. I have learned a lot more about all of the styles and fits they carry since working there and now love the store even more. It's a bad thing. So today I will start with pants... Ok so I'll start of with jeans. My favorite cut is the matchstick. Skinny enough to tuck into some cute boots without them bunching but also very flattering for those you don't want the jegging look. Comes in a variety of washes from dark to light to white. Next is cords. I am IN LOVE with these. They are called the toothpick cord. A skinny cord with a slightly cropped leg and zipper at the ankle. So cute with ballet flats or heels. You could even do them tucked into boots. Shown in navy, they also come in a light grey, off white, caramel brown, and light blue-green. Now onto the next best thing since leggings.
