Succulent Love

So if you don't already know, I am in LOVE with succulents. So when I saw these awesome little trees made of them I about died! They are from this awesome blog. Too bad they range from $100-$150 dollars each and you have to live in California to buy one because they are too fragile to be shipped out of state. But she does have some other amazing things in her shop that can be shipped. Here are some of my favorites... P.S. Go check out everything in her holiday shop. There are some awesome ornaments and such.













































This crazy thing is called an air plant. You soak it in water every so often and it stays alive with no root system and without being potted. SO awesome!

    1- i completely share this love for succulents! they're so cute and so easy to keep alive! :) and 2- air plants are the coolest. i've been dreaming about them since last spring when i thought i'd make a mobile with them. (didn't happen...) low maintenence and adorable = my kind of plants. good post. :)

I found this recipe on  Just Cook Already  a few weeks ago and finally tried it for dinner tonight. It was a HUGE hit with Landon. He even said it's one of his top 5 favorite meals I've made so that should say a lot. So I thought I would share the recipe with ya'll... 2013

2013 has been one amazing year!  Here are some of the highlights that made it so great... Quitting my job to stay at home, start up this blog/design business, and eventually be a mom Becoming pregnant and giving birth to baby Ames  Finding a love for riding bikes and discovering trails across Iowa Landon graduating from law school Running my first 5k Making unforgettable friends and memories while living in Iowa  Trips home to Utah and eventually our move back Vacations to Mexico, Lake Powell, Nauvoo, St. Louis, and Minneapolis  Landon's first deer hunt - which he will never be able to top! :)  Adding several temples to my temple journal list Everything we've been through and experienced this year has helped us to grow and change for the better. Client Progress

These lovely clients of mine just bought their first house after finishing medical school and we are having so much fun decorating it! We started with the living/dining room which is almost complete, and then we will be moving to the family room and office.  I think many people believe interior design happens quickly and you have to spend a lot of money all at once. That is one way you can decorate your home, but with this client we took it slow and steady. This results in an equally beautiful home. We came up with an overall design and concept to begin with, but were very flexible with reconfiguring the design as we went and buying things over time, not all at once.  We started with the key furniture pieces (sofa, chairs, console, dining table and chairs) and then a few months later added the side table, rug, light fixture, and mirrors.  Last week while I was in Utah we added the lamps and a few accessories and now we just need some window treatments a...
