We Love A Little FUN

Tuesday night we headed to Boondock's with some of the fam after having everyone over to our apartment for dinner. We had lots of fun bowling and playing arcade games. Of course Landon won the game of bowling, if you know him and his competitive nature at all that won't surprise you. :) And Cody set the all time record for the punching bag arcade game. You can go check out his score posted at Boondock's ;). Let's just say we had two pretty proud boys on our hands! You can't see little Maddie's face in the picture, and it's just too cute to pass up so here's a shot...

Valentine's

We were in St. George with the Sandberg's this year for Valentine's (Pictures to come), so we didn't really do anything to celebrate, just the two of us. We did have a fun little Valentine's party with the Sandberg's which included HEART bingo. Is it possible NOT to get a single bingo in two rounds of that game?? Yes, it is. I accomplished this feat and Will, Landon's brother, made sure I knew what a loser I was. But I gave him a little taste of his own medicine much to his surprise ;). The girls had a fun day out on Saturday getting pedicures and seeing "Dear John" (actually pretty good and not as cheesy as I expected). We came home Monday and the next day I went to work to finish up and deliver some arrangements for people who were out of town for Valentine's and when I walked into our workroom this little lovely was sitting on the table. Looking at it just makes me happy. It's made of anenomes and ranunculus, two of my favorites. Anenomes ...

Jazz Game

Landon's dreams came true yesterday, as we sat 6th row, center court at the Utah Jazz game. There are few times when I've seen him happier than when he opened that birthday card from my parents and then actually sitting there at the game. Conveniently I had a class at school that night so I was already in Salt Lake (we got free parking at the Triad center because it's also my student parking which was great, saved us $8). Landon came down and met me and we had a fun night eating at Happy Sumo and going to the game. The highlight of the night was President Monson sitting about 5 rows in front of us! Oh and the Jazz won ;) As you can tell Landon was pretty excited...

Happy Birthday To My Man Lando!

Landon hit the big "23" today! He made my birthday so great, I could never live up to it, but in an attempt, I woke up this morning and decorated the kitchen with balloons and made him breakfast complete with a muffin cake. Landon is such an awesome guy and a perfect match for me. I couldn't have found anyone who makes up for my other half better than him. He's such a personable, hardworking, funny, and helpful man! Happy Birthday Lando! XOXO

The Happy Color...Yellow

So every once in a while I go through color phases, and right now it's yellow. "Yellow shines with optimism, enlightenment, and happiness. Shades of golden yellow carry the promise of a positive future. Yellow will instill optimism and energy, as well as spark creative thoughts." So hopefully this means I'll be getting some really great creative inspiration in the near future. :) I don't know what it is about it but I have a love hate relationship with this color. Sometimes I'm in love with it and can't get enough yellow, other times, I can't stand it. So this time around, my yellow phase started with this awesome find at TJMaxx... I've actually been looking for a higher chest to put on this wall so that I could lean a mirror on it, but when I saw this, I fell in love, and knew it was definitely coming home with me. The price tag made it even easier to cave in. Then came along this amazing yellow wedding that we did a few weeks ago at Noah's in...

Bridal Show

So if you don't know by now, I work at The Canterbury Place in Bountiful as an assistant florist. Saturday, January 16th was their annual Bridal Show, and the theme for this year was "Vintage Chic." It took a ton of prep work, including making about 30 paper pinwheels (seen on the chair ties below). I think my fingers were numb for a few hours from folding them! As far as flowers go, we worked until midnight the night before the show finishing them, but they turned out amazing! I was in love! Each table had a different centerpiece and the round buffet in the center had a HUGE arrangment of peonies, dahlias, anenomies, garden roses, queen anne's lace, and blooming branches. Stacie, the head florist, said it was probably the most expensive arrangement she's ever done. Here's some pictures for you to feast your eyes on.... One of the mock bouquets I made. It's made of calla lilies, parrot tulips, hypericum berries, and scabiosa pods. The AMAZING cake made by ...

The Pictures I Promised...

Don't mind our weirdly stretched faces, Landon's phone was struggling with this one.
