9 Months

Saturday was the 9 month mark for Ames! I feel like he has changed so much over this last month.
He's now up to 5 teeth (2 top, 3 bottom), is pulling himself up onto furniture, crawling, climbing the stairs, trying lots of new food, and overall just being a little busy body.

He managed to climb onto the ottoman the other day using a toy as a step stool.
I wasn't in the room at the time and I walked past and almost had a heart attack.

The past 3 months he's been in a lovely sleep regression, but the past 3 nights he has finally been sleeping through the night again. Hallelujah. Crossing my fingers I didn't just jinx myself.

He's also got quite the personality and loves to babble, laugh, and smile at just about anyone.
He's yet to meet someone that he wouldn't smile at. I love that he is such a happy and social baby.
Since I work a couple days a week, he is also used to being with other people, so it's been nice that he doesn't get separation anxiety when I leave him.

He loves Thor and smiles and squeals every time he comes in the room. Thor has been great at putting up with the pulling on his ears and fur. I know I've said this before, but I look forward to seeing them grow up together.

Ames is really loving food now too. He's decided he likes figuring out finger foods more than purees, so mostly he just eats what we eat and then he'll have a pouch of baby food or oatmeal once a day.
He loves his oatmeal, peaches, raspberries, and chicken. But he's really not too picky about anything, those are just some foods he's seemed to especially like.
I've found he doesn't really love nursing during the day. Morning and just before bed he'll have a good feeding, but I think he's starting to wean himself. We'll see how much longer we last with nursing. It will definitely be bittersweet when it ends. I love the bonding time but I won't miss the biting and having to always plan my schedule around nursing/pumping.

We'll get his height and weight stats at his appointment in a couple days, but we have officially moved him up to the big boy carseat, he's in 12-18 month clothes (except for bottoms he can still do 6-12) and size 4 diapers.

He loves anything noisy, swinging on the porch swing, eating everything (even if it's not edible), grabbing everything, and loves to play in the dog dish. Swimming and bath time are still favorites, and he absolutely hates getting dressed or having his diaper changed.

Love seeing him change and grow and hate it at the same time.
He'll be a year old in only 3 months! So crazy!

Greek Tacos

I found this recipe on  Just Cook Already  a few weeks ago and finally tried it for dinner tonight. It was a HUGE hit with Landon. Client Progress

These lovely clients of mine just bought their first house after finishing medical school and we are having so much fun decorating it! We started with the living/dining room which is almost complete, and then we will be moving to the family room and office.  I think many people believe interior design happens quickly and you have to spend a lot of money all at once. That is one way you can decorate your home, but with this client we took it slow and steady. This results in an equally beautiful home. We came up with an overall design and concept to begin with, but were very flexible with reconfiguring the design as we went and buying things over time, not all at once.  We started with the key furniture pieces (sofa, chairs, console, dining table and chairs) and then a few months later added the side table, rug, light fixture, and mirrors.  Last week while I was in Utah we added the lamps and a few accessories and now we just need some window treatments a...
