Where To Shop For Boys


Shopping for a boy can be challenging, especially a baby boy. Once they hit 12 months it seems like 
there's a much better selection of cute things to choose from, but baby clothes are a different story. 
This has been a good thing for me though. I think shopping for a girl would be overwhelming because there are almost too many cute things. 

I've done a bit of searching and created a great roundup of stores that have great baby boy clothes. 

My top 3 stores are:


Zara and Baby Gap can be a little bit more expensive, but honestly I think Zara is worth it...
their clothes are that cute,
and Baby Gap has great sales and coupons. 

Other good stores are:

JCPenney - specifically the Joe Fresh & Little Maven brands
American Apparel
Old Navy
Carter's - they've really stepped up their game 

Walmart and Target have good finds every once and a while,
but I feel like their 12 mo. and bigger boys clothing is much cuter.
Crazy 8 also has some goodies if you dig a bit.

Yes a couple of them have already been added to Mr. Ames' closet. I wish all of them could make their way into it. 5 & 10 came in the mail yesterday and I about died over the cuteness!

  1. I've always loved the childrens place for boys. I think they have some pretty good solid staples, plus you can always get a 20% off coupon

  2. I love Old Navy for bottoms, Carter's for pajamas, and The Children's Place for tops. I hadn't heads of Zara before. We'll have to check it out!

2013

2013 has been one amazing year!  Here are some of the highlights that made it so great... Quitting my job to stay at home, start up this blog/design business, and eventually be a mom Becoming pregnant and giving birth to baby Ames  Finding a love for riding bikes and discovering trails across Iowa Landon graduating from law school Running my first 5k Making unforgettable friends and memories while living in Iowa  Trips home to Utah and eventually our move back Vacations to Mexico, Lake Powell, Nauvoo, St. Louis, and Minneapolis  Landon's first deer hunt - which he will never be able to top! :)  Adding several temples to my temple journal list Everything we've been through and experienced this year has helped us to grow and change for the better. Client Progress

These lovely clients of mine just bought their first house after finishing medical school and we are having so much fun decorating it! We started with the living/dining room which is almost complete, and then we will be moving to the family room and office.  I think many people believe interior design happens quickly and you have to spend a lot of money all at once. That is one way you can decorate your home, but with this client we took it slow and steady. This results in an equally beautiful home. We came up with an overall design and concept to begin with, but were very flexible with reconfiguring the design as we went and buying things over time, not all at once.  We started with the key furniture pieces (sofa, chairs, console, dining table and chairs) and then a few months later added the side table, rug, light fixture, and mirrors.  Last week while I was in Utah we added the lamps and a few accessories and now we just need some window treatments a...
