Testimony

Yesterday I went and deposited my paycheck and was only able to deposit about half of it because we still had to pay tithing from our other grant money we received and some other income. I felt a little bummed but knew that paying tithing was more important than having that money.

Then that night we found out how much we had to pay in taxes and I thought back to that money again, but knew we had to pay our tithing first. We have the money to pay the taxes but of course that's the last thing you want to take a big hunk out of your bank account.

Today I got an email from the Financial Aid Office at school. It was definitely unexpected and it said that I had been awarded an academic competitiveness grant. It was worth quite a bit of money that will practically cut in half the amount we own in taxes.

I know that if we give to the Lord he will give back to us and we will always have what we are in need of. For any of you that read this little blog, I want you to know that I have a testimony of tithing. If you don't, I hope you will give it a try, because I know that you will receive many blessings if you are faithful.

  1. Tithing certainly is one of the best ways we can show our love for our Heavenly Father and Savior. And in turn they show us their love too! Good post Lex. Last post was fabulous too! You can do the no sugar thing. I chose to completely give it up 2 years ago and I am half the size in pants that I was, so trust me, it's SOOOO totally worth it! You're beautiful anyways though! Just remember that! Love you!
