S'mores, Sleeping Bags, & Smiles

This weekend we went camping up in the Uintas with some of Landon's friends and their wives/girlfriends. Unfortunately Landon forgot our sleeping pads so we were camping for REAL. (I promise this is the last time I'll bring it up Lando ;) ). But we had tons of fun fishing and four-wheeling with everyone! We hope to do it again soon! Here's some pics of the trip thanks to Brenton Walker. My camera got dropped in the lake and then the guys had fun hacking it with an axe (definitely something a bunch of guys would do when they get together), but hey atleast it gives me an excuse to get a new one right? Mine was on it's last leg anyway.

Client Progress

These lovely clients of mine just bought their first house after finishing medical school and we are having so much fun decorating it! We started with the living/dining room which is almost complete, and then we will be moving to the family room and office. I think many people believe interior design happens quickly and you have to spend a lot of money all at once. That is one way you can decorate your home, but with this client we took it slow and steady. This results in an equally beautiful home. We came up with an overall design and concept to begin with, but were very flexible with reconfiguring the design as we went and buying things over time, not all at once. We started with the key furniture pieces (sofa, chairs, console, dining table and chairs) and then a few months later added the side table, rug, light fixture, and mirrors. Greek Tacos

I found this recipe on Just Cook Already a few weeks ago and finally tried it for dinner tonight. It was a HUGE hit with Landon. He even said it's one of his top 5 favorite meals I've made so that should say a lot. So I thought I would share the recipe with ya'll... Greek Tacos {i adjusted this recipe to serve just 2 of us.} M arinade 2-4 large chicken breasts in this Greek Salad Dressing. 2013

2013 has been one amazing year! Here are some of the highlights that made it so great... Quitting my job to stay at home, start up this blog/design business, and eventually be a mom Becoming pregnant and giving birth to baby Ames Finding a love for riding bikes and discovering trails across Iowa Landon graduating from law school Running my first 5k Making unforgettable friends and memories while living in Iowa Trips home to Utah and eventually our move back Vacations to Mexico, Lake Powell, Nauvoo, St. Louis, and Minneapolis Landon's first deer hunt - which he will never be able to top! :) Adding several temples to my temple journal list Everything we've been through and experienced this year has helped us to grow and change for the better.
