It's officially been one year! I can't believe how fast it has gone by! It feels like fall and winter never happened and it's still the end of last summer. I swear we've only been married about 5 months. The past year has been so fun and I couldn't have spent it with anyone better than Landon. He is such an amazing person. The part I remember most about the day we were married is sitting in the Celestial Room with him and I couldn't stop saying "I can't believe it, it's finally here!" I was so excited to finally be married to him! There are so many times when he has done or said things and I've thought to myself "That's why I married him." He is a great husband and will be a great dad someday. I'm so happy I was able to find him so soon in life and at the perfect time in my life. I love him SO much!

So for our anniversary Landon took me to Cucina Toscana, an Italian restraunt downtown that I have always wanted to go to. It's pretty pricey so it's not somewhere you just go whenever you feel the want ;), but it is delicious! It was a three course meal, salad, pasta, and the main course, but Landon and I agree that if we went back we would just get the salad and pasta as the main dish. The pasta is made fresh at the restraunt every day and it is to die for! I highly recommend you eat there if possible!
Then I had a little surprise for Landon. It's almost impossible to surprise Landon because he's a little impatient and will prod you until he gets what he wants out of you. He thought he had it all figured out and that I was taking him to Hotel Monaco (I had to go there for a school project and the lobby decor is really cool, so I've told him that I wanted to stay there before) but little did he know that I had booked a room at the Grand America. He acted a little bummed out when he thought we were staying at The Hotel Monaco (probably because it's more of my wish to stay there than his) but after we left the restraunt and I finally told him where we were ACTUALLY going he perked up just a little. :) We had a really fun night together and can't wait for our next year of marriage!

CONGRATS, one down and eternity to go! You two do a great job celebrating the big things in life. Perhaps we can join you for salad and pasta (well I think Cody may have to have the entree :).
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversay! I will always remember yours because it is the same day as ours. So fun having a may wedding. Did you guys do the breakfast buffet @ the Grand America? I hear it is the bomb! :)
