The Pictures I Promised...

Don't mind our weirdly stretched faces, Landon's phone was struggling with this one.

Can't Believe It!

I can't believe it, but one year ago my awesome husband proposed! Before we know it, we will have been married for a year, man time flies! For those of you who haven't heard the story... Last year on the Saturday after Christmas, Landon came and picked me up to go snowmobiling for my first time. I knew he had the ring and he would barely talk the whole drive up to where we were going so I was a little suspicious. The snowmobile ride was quite the experience, I rode on the back of Landon's and was pretty sure that any moment I would fly right off the back of the thing! We went about a third of the way up Bountiful Peak where there is an overlook. As we came around the corner I could see something painted in the snow on the hill and was about to ask what it said, but we got a little closer and it finally all hit me. Landon and his brother in law, Sam, had come up really early that morning and spray painted in red, "Will You Marry Me." He stopped and of course got do...

We Made It!!

I am very happy to announce that Landon and I made it through the Fall 2009 semester! We probably grew a few gray hairs and definitely wanted to pull out all of our hair at times, but we made it! Now I know I'm bragging here a bit, but the best part is...we both came out of this semester with 4.0 GPAs! Our first college 4.0s! Woohoo! Hopefully we can carry it on to next semester, but don't count on it, atleast not on me, but little smarty pants Landon you can almost for sure count on! In the meantime, Christmas break here we come!

10,000 Paperclips!

So for my Principles of Design class we were given the assignment to create an original lighting fixture with found objects. If you know me well then you won't be surprised that anthropologie was my inspiration for my light. They always have the most awesome art displays in their store made of found objects like rubber bands, light bulbs, paperclips, hangers, paper, etc. A while ago they had display that looked like icicles hanging from the ceiling, I can't remember what it was made of, but it was amazing! So that's where my inspiration came from. Let me tell you, it takes A LOT of paperclips to make a chandelier. I went to Office Depot and bought to boxes with 1,000 paper clips in each, thinking that would be enough, boy was I wrong. I ended up going back and buying 12 more boxes and used 8 of them! If I hadn't gone insane from chaining paperclips for 5 days I may have tried making more but I had had enough! Let's just say I watched a few Christmas movies...

A Teenager No Longer!

Yep, I finally hit 20! I have to say this has been one of the best birthdays yet, the whole week was packed full of things to do! The Tuesday before my birthday my best bud Alyssa took we to lunch at Cucina in the Avenues. (SO GOOD!) Then Wednesday was my birthday. Landon's family had pictures that day by the same guy who did our wedding pictures, Kelly Sansom, and when Landon told him it was my birthday and I was turning 20, he just had this amazingly shocked look on his face and said,"You're that young!? Man Landon you definitely robbed the craddle!" For some reason I thought he knew I was that young all along but I guess not. Hopefully I'll still get that reaction when I'm 50! ;) Anyway, the day was great! After pictures at the Capi...
