A Rainy BYU Game

Waking up at 6 am on a Saturday is not my idea of a good time, but Landon & I headed down to Provo so he could take his Norwegian test at BYU. I drove around Provo, slept in the car for awhile, and did some homework while Lando took his test. We ate lunch at the Cougar Eat which I have to say brought back bad memories of being down at BYU last year and wishing I was at home. I'm SO glad that's not me this year. We spent the rest of the day just hanging out around campus and taking another nap in the car until Landon's brother and sister-in-law, Will & Emily, came down for the game. Right before they got there it started raining, luckily Lando had rain jackets in his trunk but we were still FREEZING! We had fun tailgating with Will & Em and then headed over for the game. By that time it had stopped raining thank goodness, but it was still FREEZING! Sadly the game didn't go so good and we ended up leaving early, which I have to say I was kind of...

$15....Not Too Shabby

I was on a quest to find the perfect round kitchen table over the summer. Right before school started my mom and I found it at the DI in Centerville for $15. Well it was $25 but the guy really liked my mom and I so he gave it to us for $15. :) Well after it sat in my parent's garage for about a month, received a good sanding and a couple coats of paint, I finally brought it home to our apartment!Landon was a little scared when I told him I was painting it two different colors, but he decided I actually do know a little bit about design once he saw it. :) The chairs are from IKEA and we also painted a couple of barstools black that Landon's mom gave us when they remodeled their kitchen. The dumbest thing I did was not taking a before picture! These are some pictures from a wedding I did the flowers for last week. Red and black gets a little old after awhile, but this wedding was probably one of my favorite's with this color scheme. They got especially lucky with the leaves c...

It's been a while...

I can't believe how long it's been since I last posted! So much has happened but I haven't been so great at documenting so we'll see how much I can remember. Before school started we got one last vacation in. We went to St. George with my family and had fun golfing, bowling, watching movies, and my mom and I headed to Vegas for a day. Then we had to get back to the books as fall semester started. Landon is at Weber State studying economics and I'm at LDSBC studying interior design. We were both able to get grants which paid for a whole year's tuition and then we even got some back! We were so excited! So school is going great for both of us, and we've even managed not to lash out at each other too bad with the stress of it all. :) In September Landon's sister Mandy and her two little boys, Luke, and newborn Dane came up from California to visit. It was our first time seeing little Dane in person and we had fun hanging out with them and the rest of the fa...
